I have been a supervisor in both the NHS and the charity sector for over ten years to clinicians at varying skill levels and come with a wealth of knowledge and experience in community, outpatient and inpatient services working with children and young people from birth to 25 years including those with additional needs.
I am also very experienced in providing consultation and reflective practice groups for Social Workers, teaching staff and other non-clinical colleagues within the health and care sector in a number of inner-city London boroughs.
What can I expect from supervision?
Supervision is a key element of clinical practice to offer personal and professional guidance and development. Providing a safe, structured and containing space is essential in my mind for you to reflect on your practice, feel safe to develop skills (through case discussion, presentation and role play), to work with feedback opportunities, to collaborate in developing formulation and treatment plans and to receive guidance on therapy and models. Supervision also provides an opportunity to consider career development.
The above can only occur if a strong supervisory relationship is established, necessitating a flexible and adaptive approach depending on the supervisees' needs.
Supervision with Jyoti has helped me to develop my knowledge, skills and confidence in my work. Jyoti has enabled me to recognise my own strengths whilst supporting me to develop both in my practice and career more broadly. Jyoti was always there to support me whenever I needed and helped me navigate and achieve succesful outcomes with very complex cases. I would not be the practitioner that I am if it wasn't for Jyoti's knowledge, support and continuous belief in me. It was a privilege to have her guidance and support over 3 years and I would highly recommend her supervision.

Jyoti created an incredibly warm and safe supervision space which enabled me to talk and reflect on both my casework and personal / professional development openly. Whilst being supervised by Jyoti, we built a relationship that made me feel comfortable to share the ups and downs of my work. Still now, the rewarding aspects and ways I’m able to reflect on more difficult parts of my work stem from the guidance and skills Jyoti provided me with. The first person I’d want to tell about things happening in my work, is Jyoti because I believed she was fully invested in supporting me and seeing what I was able to achieve.
